Kent, practicing an interesting way of jibing!
We had another slow start to the day. Everyone did their own thing for breakfast. It seems that Bett's is now the exception instead of the rule. Freshies seems to be a favourite recently.
Eventually the decision was made to head to Moiser. Moiser is a nice place and allows everyone to sail, launch, and hang together - even the kiters!
I started the day taking some photos and videos.

Cam did a ridiculous number of turns today!
I could see how everyone on a foil is improving day to day. Kent is starting to really slash up the waves, as is Blaine and Brad. Big Air Jim is getting most of his jibes! Ross is switching feet and getting much more comfortable on his foil (and new 4m kite). Cam is doing a ridiculous number of jibes - snaking down the river, and then shooting back upwind! I am starting to get some of my jibes and am even linking starboard to port, and then heal side port to starboard jibes together, sometimes three or four in a row - a big improvement from the start of the week.
Kent, Brad and Ross headed way upwind to the "Red Buoy" and back! Kent did over 90km over three sessions, Ross was over 80 and Blaine was over 50km. Wow!
Eddy and Mike each had good sessions on their kites. Mike was on his 8, and even doing some jumps.

Al decided to windsurf, and had some great sessions, first on his big board, and then on his small board.

Al - the only Windsurfer of our group!
I went out on my 899 and 4.5m wing and had a really good session, but I had a couple of big falls, and on one I somehow either bruised a rib, or pulled a muscle in my chest. Anyway it hurt, and made it difficult to climb on my board and especially to pump, so I decided to call it a day.
The group sailed from 11:00am until after 4:00pm. Great day in warm wind. Sail sizes varied from 4.5 to 3.7 - it was pretty windy. I'm not sure if it it is because we are becoming more confident, or getting braver, but several of us had some hard crashes today - even Kent was going over the handle bars... He said he may have to take back his new board since the magic seems to wear out as he gets tired!!!

Brad did more than 50km!
Al went to Portland to visit family, but the rest of us went to China Gorge. Most of us ordered off the seniors menu. It is only a dollar cheaper, and you get only half the food, but at least you don't have to waste as much as when you order the full meal. I don't think anyone that ordered the full meal was able to come close to finishing it - even Cam ordered off the seniors menu!
Another great day. More wind is forecast tomorrow. Unfortunately, I have to start heading home tomorrow after sailing in order to get back to a Fun Fly at my RC Airplane club near Bawlf (Alberta's Littlest Airport). I help with the registrations, and also am the designated photographer for the event.
Wow - Eight days of sailing in a row for Kent and I - and maybe one more tomorrow.

How to Foil Out!
Here is a nice lesson on how to Foil Out, something we all want to avoid. Thanks Brad for putting on such a great demonstration!
